ITALY | VENETO & SOUTH TYROL

With Venice as its capital, Veneto has the opulent history and allure of magical palaces and mystical bylanes. Perfectly coupled with the magnificent natural beauty of the Dolomites.

Mysterious, luxurious and romantic, Venice has long captured the hearts of many throughout the history. It’s a city like no other, with its pedestrian friendly walkways and sleepy canals. Find a trove of historic treasures from quiet churches concealing wonderful depictions of the Madonna to the stunning architecture of gothic cathedrals. Just an hour away is Verona, where the architecture takes you back in time—walk through charming piazzas, under stone bridges and into medieval basilicas.

We make our way into the outdoors with the stunning grace of Lake Garda. We explore its beautiful landscape from the water, hopping on and off to visit several of its charming towns. For wine-lovers, our journey continues through Valpolicella, where some of the world’s finest red wine is churned.

In the summer, South Tyrolean region is dotted with terraced vineyards and lush green landscape. Hikers of all levels will take delight in exploring the rolling hills, some even bypassing castles, fortresses and meadows. While in the winter, the region is alive with Cortina d’Ampezzo as its main stomping ground for skiiers.

ACCOMODATION

These are a selection of lodges that we feel combine well for this journey. However we do also have a range of options to consider in each region, and can tailor them to you preference.

Italy-Venice-Aman Venice

Aman Venice

Aman Venice embodies all that is sumptuous and sensuous about La Serenissima, set in one of the city’s eight, great monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal. But while its frescoed interiors sate appetites for grandeur, they invoke balance and harmony too. Rococo works of art are offset by the contemporary restraint of Jean-Michel Gathy interiors; private gardens and year-round wellness encourage calming introspection. Combining a reverence to the past and an appreciation of the present, local experts curate authentic, cultural encounters away from the crowds, reaching the heart of Venetian passions.
