With 18,110 islands and only 6,000 of them inhabited, Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world with plenty to offer and much to discover. Though this can be said about many places in the world, it does take some time, patience and flexibility to truly navigate and understand Indonesia and uncover its beauty and magic.

The islands of Sumatra, the uncharted jungles of Kalimantan, the cities of Java, the beaches of Bali, the marine life of Nusa Tenggara and the impenetrable wilderness of Papua are just some of the regions that fill Indonesia with much diversity and wonder. Although much of its traditions have stemmed from the Hindus of the former Majapahit empire, there is no one particular culture to describe Indonesia. The countless landmarks around the country tell terrific stories about Indonesia's past while its diverse communities, uncharted terrain and pristine waters hint at its magnificent future.
