Our Path to Sikkim is one for the adventurer. With peak-ringed valleys, icy-cold lakes and rhododendron-rich forests, Sikkim offers a range of trails and treks. Explore a countryside of gushing rivers and forested stretches interspersed with charming Tibetan monasteries, against a backdrop of the breathtaking Kanchendzonga mountains.
Sikkim hosts astonishing biodiversity; rare orchids and numerous rhododendron species, over 500 species of birds, a plethora of still-unstudied insects, and several rare mammals like snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, red panda, Himalayan goral, Tibetan wolf, among others. Sikkimโs towns are also bustling centres of trade, with marketplaces sourced from the far-flung reaches of the state and sometimes, from across the borders.
Our journey begins with a 5 hours’ drive up into the Himalayas from Bagdogra, where we spend a 4/5 days hiking from village house to village house, granting you some access to the rural life of Sikkim. Your week would include stunning hikes with views of the Himalayas and learning about Sikkim culture and its monasteries.
The journey concludes at the charming town of Darjeeling, with a stay at a tea estate.
These are a selection of lodges that we feel combine well for this journey. However we do also have a range of options to consider in each region, and can tailor them to you preference.

Glenburn is a heavenly little plantation retreat that lies on a hillock above the banks of the River Rungeet, high in the Himalayas, overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain range. The third and fourth generation Prakash family carry almost a century of tea knowledge in their inheritance, and invite you to experience this legacy at Glenburn.
