From a private beach camp to the heart of the desert, this path is about secluded tranquility. Take the path less travelled, experiencing Dhofar’s towering mountain chains, the fabled Frankincense route, along the stunning Dhofari coast line and into the awe-striking dunes of the Rub Al Khali.

Begin your journey along Oman’s brilliant coastline. A short flight from Muscat lands you in paradise – with pristine beaches to underwater adventures, a few days allows you to immerse yourself in its beauty. For divers and nature-lovers, the area plays host to exotic wildlife including spinner dolphins, green turtles, and coastal bird life including ospreys, pelicans, flamingos and kingfishers. Take a walk in the surrounding areas besides iridescent water pools observing the birdlife and even visiting ruins of another era.

We head towards the Al Baleed Archaeological Park, staying on the edge, in the Land of Frankincense, stopping by the ancient village of Taqah along the way. This is an area where we uncover secrets of one of Oman’s finest productions, an ancient ingredient, whose tales lead us to the Omani-Yemeni border, where a beautiful vistas await us. We explore the Qara mountains in solitude, to enjoy the stunning views in privacy.

Our final stop takes us to the largest sand desert in the world where we rest our heads for the remaining nights, sleeping underneath a panorama of stars. Make your way to the top of a dune to watch the sunrise, then hop on a camel and discover the diversity of the region. We also sit down for tea with a local Bedu from the Al Rashidi tribe, see his black camels and hear about their unique lifestyle.
